As an overseas purchaser of a brand new Gore Developments Ltd. home at Rhyne Park or New Harbour Village, there are a few procedures that you will have to follow to make sure that your purchase transaction runs smoothly and on time. Due to physical distance, it would be very difficult for you to come into our offices to sign the contract and mortgage agreement, as well as any other documents that may be necessary to complete your purchase. That is why we, at Gore Developments, have created a system to allow you to meet all of the purchase requirements in a convenient and timely fashion without you ever having to leave your country of residence.
Witnessing Your Signature When it comes time for you to sign the contract and mortgage agreement click here for a list of documents requiring signature , it will be necessary for you to have your signature witnessed by a Notary Republic or the Jamaican Consul for the following documents: the Land Nomination and House Construction Agreement (in triplicate), the Instrument of Transfer (in duplicate), the Mortgage Instrument (in triplicate, initialing the foot of each page), and the Letter of Authorization. These documents must be witnessed by a NOTARY PUBLIC or the JAMAICAN CONSUL, otherwise the documents will not be accepted in Jamaica for registration and will have to be returned to you for proper execution. Please note that If your signature is witnessed by the Notary Public, you MUST obtain from the Clerk of the County Court a Certificate confirming that the Notary Public's commission has not expired and this Certificate must be affixed to the Instrument of Transfer and Mortgage ONLY. If, however, your signature is witnessed by the Jamaican Consul, the Certificate mentioned above would not be required. To find a county clerk in your area, you can try several methods. SENDING YOUR PURCHASE DOCUMENTS TO GORE DEVELOPMENTS LTD.
